Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser technologies used on DoctorHub, why they operate, and how you can manage your choices.
This implementation-aligned draft reflects the current product and should receive final legal review before publication.
Categories we use
Necessary technologies are required for the service to work. Analytics measurement and on-site personalisation are separate choices and activate only after your explicit selection.
| Category | Purpose | Activation |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Session, security, language, and essential site functions. | Always active |
| Analytics | Measure site use and conversions in aggregate and improve the product. | Analytics consent only |
| On-site personalisation | Show relevant DoctorHub content and guidance from search and interest signals; no delivery through external advertising channels. | Separate personalisation consent |
| Advertising and targeting | DoctorHub does not currently run advertising or third-party marketing cookies. | Not used |
Technologies and retention
Technical names can vary by provider or product version. The list below shows the current application's main identifiers.
| Technology | Provider / purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
doctorhub_consent_v3 (local storage) | Separately remembers your necessary, analytics, and on-site personalisation choices. | Until you change the choice or clear browser data |
doctorhub_analytics and surgdata_vid | Communicates the analytics choice to the server and enables anonymous visit and product-interaction measurement only after consent. | Up to 180 days for the analytics choice; up to 1 year for the visitor identifier, or until withdrawal |
doctorhub_personalization | Communicates the on-site personalisation choice to the server; campaign or journey content is not requested before that choice. | Up to 180 days or until withdrawal |
_ga and related GA4 identifiers | Aggregate visit and conversion measurement after consent; ads personalisation is disabled. | According to the Google Analytics configuration |
Your choices
- You may accept all technologies, enable analytics only, or continue with necessary technologies only.
- On-site personalisation is separate from analytics measurement and also requires the analytics visitor identifier to operate.
- Refusal does not block accounts, security, or essential site use.
- You can change your choice at any time from the ‘Cookie preferences’ link in the footer.
Withdrawing consent
When you withdraw personalisation consent, on-site campaign delivery stops and related session data is cleared. If you also withdraw analytics consent, DoctorHub attempts to clear known GA4 and DoctorHub analytics identifiers and stops sending new analytics events. Previously transmitted records may remain subject to applicable retention and deletion processes.
Third parties and transfers
Google Analytics 4 may be used when you consent to analytics. Google's processing is governed by its own service terms and privacy documents. DoctorHub does not enable advertising-personalisation signals.
Your rights and contact
Your rights to access, correct, delete, and object to processing, together with the application method, are described in the Privacy Notice and Data Subject Request pages.
